The
range of tube end forming machines made available by us of principally two
designs :
Push type systems:
- In these systems there is no rotary movement of die
- Job is pushed into die with help of hydraulic cylinder mounted at end
of punch slide
Rotary cum push type:
- Carbide die is clamped into die head
- It continuously gives rise to rotary movement with help of DC motors
- Punch slide force component into die with help of hydraulic cylinder
provided at other end of machine
With the Tube end forming or swagging machines purely operating on cold
process, these consume less power, thus making them highly suitable for
industries for mass production of
- Swaged parts
- Swaged component
Swaging machine - Working
- The machine works by using two as well as four split dies that
separate and close up to several times a minute
- The action is achieved by mounting dies into machine's spindle that
is rotated by motor
- Spindle is mounted inside cage containing rollers
- With rollers larger than cage, spindle spins the dies and is pushed
out to ride on cage
- As dies cross over the rollers, it pushes dies together because of
their larger size
Rotary swaging process
- It's a cold working process
- Its used to reduce diameter, produce taper or add point to round work
piece
- It can also impart internal shapes in hollow work pieces through use
of mandrel
- Variation of rotary swager in creeping spindle swaging machine where
both the spindle and cage revolve in opposite directions, prevents
production of fins between dies where material being swaged grows up the
gap between dies
